Abstract

This research entitled is “Karakteristik Tokoh Kembar dalam Novel Fangirl Karya Rainbow Rowell Berdasarkan Teori Struktur Kepribadian Sigmund Freud”. The aims of this research are to describe the characteristic of twin character and comparison of twin’s characteristic based on Sigmund Freud’s personality structure theory. The research used qualitative descriptive with psycology literature approach. The result of this research shows that the twins character has similiarities and differences . The similiarities between Cath and Wren are care and headstrong. The differences between Cath and Wren are Cath shows anxious, fearful, unforgiving and impulsive, whereas Wren shows enthusiastic, forgiving and wise. The comparison of twins character based on Sigmund Freud’s personality structure theory among others are: (1) Cath’s id is depicted in unforgiving and headstrong. Wren’s id is depicted in headstrong, (2) Cath’s ego is depicted in anxious and fearful. Wren’s ego is depicted in wise, (3) Cath’s superego is depicted in care and impulsive. Wren’s superego is depicted in care and forgiving.
