Abstract

EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF COMPLIANCE IN THE NYALINDUNG REGION WITH THEMETHOD THE MODIFIED PROCTOR. Nasrul Jabar. 1630111036 Nyalindung Subdistrict, Sukabumi Regency is a crossing area for the main transportation route from Sukabumi City to Sukabumi Regency. In general, the Nyalindung area has uneven land contours and many landslides, this is due to unstable soil conditions. Soil stability is needed so that road work can be carried out properly, one of which is needed is soil compaction efforts to overcome unstable soil or experience landslides. This study aims to obtain embankment soil with good quality, it is necessary to compact the soil in Nyalindung. In order to obtain good compaction, embankments and excavations require optimum air content in order to obtain the maximum density which can be determined by the modified proctor test. From the results of the compaction test, the density of the soil is 1.219 gr/cm3, obtained from the results of laboratory tests, then a sand cone test is carried out for 3 points in the field, it is found that the density of dry soil has a dry soil density of 1.06 gr/cm3, 1.07 gr/cm3 , 1.08 g/cm3, from the results of field and laboratory tests, the comparisons were 87.23 %, 87.75 %, and 88.41%. So from the results of the dry weight comparison, the density value has been met, which is more than 85% based on the specifications of the Highways Department of Transportation.
