Abstract

PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF WATER FULFILLMENT OF THE WARUNGKIARA IRRIGATION AREA IN PLTA UBRUG DAM, WARUNGKIARA DISTRICT. Harry Darmawan. 1730111014 Loss of water discharge is the difference between the discharge given and received into the fields, it occurs in the Warungkiara irrigation area, Sukabumi Regency. The water debit allocation for the Warungkiara irrigation area is provided by the PLTA Ubrug Dam of 1-1.3 m3 /s through a channel length of 6600 m to irrigate an area of 507 hectares of rice fields. This study aims to determine the magnitude of the loss of water discharge, the factors causing the loss of water discharge and recommend a proposal for handling the loss of water discharge. The value of the loss of water discharge is obtained by calculating the difference between the incoming discharge, tapping discharge and outgoing discharge, the cause of the loss of water discharge is known from a review of conditions in the field and recommendations for handling are carried out by reviewing regulations and literature related to irrigation. It can be seen that the loss of water discharge occurs in every channel of the Warungkiara irrigation area, the largest loss of water discharge occurs in the channel Section 2 of 0.291 m3 /s then there is a shortage of water flow in the last channel, namely Section 20 of 0.146 m3 /s. Factors causing water loss are uncontrolled distribution of water allocation for plantations, extraction of irrigation water without permission by the community, channel leakage/seepage and channel sedimentation. Handling that can be done is to provide education, socialization and appeal to the community, controlling water intake without a permit, applying for the installation of scot beam doors, removing sediment, adding sluice gate officers, proposing rehabilitation and upgrading canal walls.
