Abstract

Social isolation is a disorder related to other people by avoiding to interact with others and low self-esteem. The purpose of this application is to determine the effect of music therapy on patients with social isolation on social skills in RT 01/RW 01, Kampung Nanggerang, Cimanggu Village, Cibeber District, Cianjur Regency. The method in this scientific paper is a case study with the provision of music therapy. Data collection techniques were carried out by interview, observation, and literature/documentation studies. The results of the intervention showed a change when given music therapy to patients with social isolation, namely being able to socialize with other people. The conclusion of this paper is that the provision of music therapy is effective in increasing socializing with other people and this therapy can be an alternative for someone who has a mental disorder with social isolation.
