Abstract

Learning media in schools is still done conventionally, in the learning process generally teachers use teaching aids in the form of pictures, models or other tools which are expected to provide concrete experience, motivation to learn and enhance children's absorption. In this study, the author takes one of the learning materials which will later be converted into learning media, namely material about the Solar System. This material requires media as its delivery to stimulate students' imagination about the Solar System itself. Augmented Reality-based learning media is considered suitable as a tool for delivering material to students, then teachers can also be helped because usually teachers bring teaching aids or quite a lot of learning media if they will explain what the Solar System looks like to students, later when they use it. Augmented Reality-based media the teachers only need to install on the student's and teacher's devices, the stages of research carried out are identifying problems, conducting literature studies, developing systems, testing applications and compiling reports, AR is a multimedia technology that combines the real world and objects virtual graphics created by a computer where the object will be generated automatically and in real time. The solar augmented reality application was built using unity as a game engine, this application was built using the MDLC method because this method is very flexible, the stages in this method can be adjusted in order except that the concept must always be the earliest, it is proven that with the MDLC method the application made by the author namely educational games or learning media Augmented Reality planets in the solar system are running well, and according to the plan the author wants.
