Abstract

Understanding antiquity is a term used to refer to a time when historical records did not yet exist. In this era there are animals called dinosaurs, dinosaurs are a group of ancient animals from the dinosaur clade. These dinosaurs are included in the ancient animals that lived millions of years ago that ever lived on this earth. The method to study this is currently using Augmented Reality where users can see 3D objects in real just by using their respective smartphones. One method that can be used to see the real thing is to use the Markerless User Defined Target method where users only use markers to display 3D objects. Along with the development, virtual reality technology has a new technology called augmented reality or often called AR. The advantage of AR (Augmented Reality) technology compared to VR (Virtual Reality) is that in terms of developing AR (Augmented Reality) technology, it is easier than virtual reality and is still limited in its use and also expensive. Augmented reality can be used as a medium for children's learning, allowing children to interact directly with their environment, children can learn independently with their respective abilities and intentions. It can be concluded that the media can help the learning process for the purpose of learning to be achieved optimally. This study aims to build a learning media application by using images in augmented reality-based learning applications to utilize the application of the technology.
