Abstract

Elderly is a natural process of growth and development. Health problems that occur in the elderly are decreased organ function that triggers the occurrence of various degenerative diseases including hypertension. Hypertension is a condition where the blood pressure against the artery walls is too high. The purpose of the study was to understand and apply nursing care with elderly hypertension exercise in the elderly with decreased cardiac output. The data of this study were taken by interview and observation method. One respondent was taken, namely the elderly aged 60 years with hypertension. The action given is hypertension exercise for 30 minutes with 4 visits. The results showed a decrease in cardiac output associated with changes in afterload resolved as evidenced by a decrease in blood pressure of 130/80 mmHg, respiration 20x/minute, pulse 82x/minute, temperature 36.2℃. Based on these results, it can be concluded that hypertension exercise can overcome blood pressure.
