Abstract

Elderly is an advanced stage of life market by decrease in the body’s ability to adapt to environmental stress. One of diseases in the elderly is asthma. Asthma is a respiratory disease that is often found in children, adult and the edelry. Therapy to treat asthma is pharmacologi or nonpharmacological. One of the non-pharmacological therapies that can be used by the elderly is the application of deep breathing relaxation. The deep breathing relaxation technique is an independent nursing intervention to reduce pain intensity, increase pulmonary ventilation and increase blood oxygenation. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of deep breathing relaxation on inevective breathing patterns In Muka Village. Methods of data data collection using observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The intervention was carried out five times a week. The result showed an effective breathing pattern. Researchers suggest deep breathing relaxation for use in the elderly with asthma
