Abstract
Elderly (elderly) is someone who is experiencing the final stage in the development of human life. In the elderly are susceptible to experiencing diseases related to the menna process, on of which is hypertension. Hypertension is abnormal blood pressure whit systolic more than 140 mmHg and diastolic more than 90 mmHg. The purpose of the study was to understand and apply guided imagery relaxation therapy to decrease cardiac output in the elderly in the Mulyasari Village, Cianjur aregency. The data of this study were taken using the observation interview method. The sample take as many as one respondent, namely the elderly aged 67 years whit hypertension. The action given is guided imagery relaxation therapy for 15 minutes with 3 visits. The results showed a decrease in cardiac output which was initially 160/120 mmHg to 140/100 mmHg. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that guided imagery relaxation therapy can overcome blood pressure.
