Abstract
Tuberculosis is an infectious disease that attacks the lungs and almost other parts of the body caused by mycrobacterium tuberculosis, this bacterium can enter through droplet inhalation. The purpose of the application in this case is to apply an effective coughing action against ineffective airway clearance in tuberculosis. The problems felt are coughing with phlegm, an increase in breathing, changes in breathing patterns. An alternative to overcome this airway clearane by applying an effective coughing is carried out for 3 days within 15 minutes. The techniques used data collection are interviews, observation and literature/documentation studies. One participant was taken. The result of the application showed a change in cough which was characterized by a decreased respiratory rate from 26 to 21, normal breathing patterns, and the presence of sputum production in the client. Seeing these results, it can be concluded that the application of this effective coughing action is effective in overcoming the problem of nursing airway clearance in tuberculosis patients. And this effective coughing action can be an option for someone who experiences airway clearance.
