Abstract
Type II diabetes. In type II diabetes there are two main problems related to insulin, namely insulin resistance and impaired insulin secretion. Normally insulin will bind to special receptors on the cell surface. As a result of insulin binding to these receptors, a series of reactions occur in glucose metabolism in cells. Insulin resistance in type II diabetes is accompanied by a decrease in this intracellular reaction. The purpose of this research is to apply diabetic foot exercises to blood glucose instability in women with diabetes mellitus in Sabandar. This research design uses a case study method. The sample taken was one respondent, namely gymnastics with diabetes mellitus. The results showed that there were changes in the decrease in blood glucose levels after being given exercise therapy. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that nonpharmacological therapy of exercise therapy can be applied to reduce blood glucose levels in clients with diabetes mellitus.
