Abstract

Rheumatoid arthritis can cause a decrease in human productivity. Physical disability affects basic musculoskeletal functions such as bending, lifting, walking and grasping. This case study aims to provide care for the application of nursing care with rheumatoid arthritis in Kp. Cirangkong Downstream, Purwaseadar, Ciiracap, Sukabumi. This case study was conducted through interviews and through observation by measuring the results using the Wong Barker scale (face scale). In this case study, a literature study on rheumatoid arthritis is prepared in an effort to introduce the disease rheumatoid arthritis, in which the writing of this case study will discuss the definition, causes, clinical signs and symptoms as well as the management and treatment of the disease. Rheumatoid arthritis is an inflammatory disease with the main manifestation is progressive polyarthritis and primary synovial disorders. The management and treatment of this disease consists of non-pharmacological therapy and pharmacological therapy. The nonpharmacological therapy applied is the application of warm lemongrass compresses to reduce pain intensity.
