Abstract

reatment of permanent hernia cases is surgical and one of the problems that arise in postoperative patients is pain. Giving lavender aromatherapy is one of the treatments to reduce pain. The purpose of this case study is to determine the effect of giving lavender aromatherapy on pain response in postoperative hemic patients. The case study method is carried out, namely by interviewing patients, observation and giving is an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience caused by actual or potential tissue damage. Pain is one of the most painful in a person's body who experiences and can occur at any time. one essential oil containing 8% ethane which functions as an anesthetic, namely an anesthetic and 6% ketones, which are compounds that can cause pain and inflammation relief. the client said pain in the postoperative wound with a pain scale of 5 (0-10) and the diagnosis obtained was acute pain related to tissue discontinuity. pain scale 5 (0-10) and after the action the pain scale was reduced to 3 (0-10) The results of the case study illustrate that the administration of lavender aromatherapy reduces the pain scale in postoperative hernia patients. It can be concluded that the administration of lavender aromatherapy can be applied to patients who experience pain.
