Abstract

According to Nelson (In Safari, 2017), research in the United States reports the number of speech and language delay aged 4,5 years, between 5 % to 8% and delays reported a prevalence of between 2,3 % to 19% in Indonesia the prevalence of speech delay in children Pre-School is between 5%-10% of speech delays that occor in children are incresasing, some reports also mention that the incidence of speech and languange disorder ranges from 2,3%-24%. Delay in speaking is a tendency where children find it difficult to express their wisher or feelings to other, such as, unable to speak clearly, and lack of voabulary mastery that makes the chils different from other children his age. Khoiriyah (2016). Problem that arise in An.R are growth and development disorder: verbal communication is related to insufficient environmental stimuli, parental anxienty is related to changes in health status, and lack of knowledge is related to information about treatment and how to overcome speech delay. And one of the actions given is to do the practice of communicating (one or two simple syllables) gradually. After 3 days of treatment, a 2 day evaluation of the nursing problem was partially resolved, because the healing took a long time. The author hopes that educational instituons can provide information that is precise, accurate, easy to understand, and it is better for institutions to provide cas services to accommodate scientific research jornals of health cases so that students can use the facilities as material for references, as a means of improving learning about nursing care problems with growth disoders development of speech delay children in pediatric nursing. Students are expected to be able to learn nursing care for growth disorder in children with speech delay in pediatric nursing in order to increase student knowledge.
