Abstract

Background: Acute Respiratory Infection is an acute infection that attacks the respiratory system from the upper respiratory tract to the lower tract along with other organs such as the sinuses, middle ear cavity and pleura. Acute respiratory infections typically present with nasal congestion and persistent nasal discharge. Sore throat and discomfort when swallowing, sneezing, and a dry, dry cough are common symptoms. Eucalyptus steam inhalation therapy is a therapy that can relieve respiratory problems, such as coughs, colds, sore throats, asthma, bronchitis, and sinusitis. Objective: To provide the application of eucalyptus steam inhalation therapy to the airway clearance of toddler age children with ARI in the village of Patangan Muka Village, Cianjur District, Cianjur Regency. Results: After being given eucalyptus steam inhalation therapy twice a day for 3 consecutive days, the results were obtained. Airway clearance decreased with the intensity of coughs and colds decreased, no visible breathing through the mouth, no nostril development and no crackles on auscultation. Conclusion: Eucalyptus eucalyptus oil inhalation therapy with impaired airway clearance for patients with acute respiratory infections. Suggestion: writing this problem is useful for increasing knowledge of simple actions for handling cases of airway clearance in children with ARI by applying inhalation of Eucalyptus eucalyptus oil.
