Abstract
The disease that often occurs at the age of 0-36 months is one whose incidence continues to increase, namely diarrhea. Increased stool output in children suffering from diarrhea, requires parents to change diapers more often if the diaper is not changed immediately will cause redness around the genitalia, namely diaper rash. Olive oil contains emollients that are useful for maintaining damaged skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema. This study aims to analyze the effect of giving olive oil on the degree of diaper rash in children with diarrhea using diapers aged 0-36 months. The results of this study showed that before giving olive oil to An.N, research on the degree of An.N's genital diaper rash had redness, while after giving olive oil, An.N looked better. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of giving olive oil on the degree of diaper rash in children with diarrhea using diapers aged 2 years 5 months.
