Abstract
Post partum is the period of return or recovery period after giving birth to before pregnancy. After giving birth, mothers are required to give exclusive breastfeeding for at least the first 6 months after birth. Breast milk is the first and best food for babies because it contains substances that are needed for children's intelligence. Constraints of mothers not wanting to breastfeed because of fear of not having enough milk, flat nipples, swollen breasts, abscesses in the breasts, sore nipples, cracked nipples. Breast milk can come out quickly through nonpharmacological actions, one of which is oxytocin massage. The purpose of this research was to understand and apply oxytocin massage to the ineffectiveness of breastfeeding in primiparous postpartum mothers. Data collection techniques were carried out by interview and observation. The results of the intervention showed an increase in breast milk after being given oxytocin massage as measured by an observational research instrument. Giving oxytocin massage affects the ineffectiveness of breastfeeding in primiparous postpartum mothers. By giving oxytocin massage can increase milk production. Suggestions from the author can be a further reference for further research or further research on oxytocin massage on breastfeeding.
