Abstract
Anxiety is a feeling of discomfort and security accompanied by fear and anxiety about bad things that will happen without a clear cause and effect and can interfere with one's life activities. Anxiety can also be characterized by worry, fear, irritability, tension, difficulty concentrating, memory problems, insomnia, and excessive sweating. Anxiety can result from traumatic events such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The purpose of this paper is to find out the results of the application of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy in patients with PostTraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) on anxiety in Jamali Village, Mande District. The method of data collection used by the author is qualitative research and the methods used are interviews, observations, literature studies or documentation. The results of the application showed that the client experienced a decrease in anxiety and trauma from moderate to mild with a score of 25 to 4 using the Impact of Events Scale-Revised (IER-S) technique. The conclusion of this paper is that the application of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing to anxiety in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) patients can reduce anxiety levels. Suggestions in this paper require client compliance in applying Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy either alone or with other people (writers or counselors) properly and according to procedures.
