Abstract

The problem of flooding and puddles in urban areas is inseparable from the problem of poor drainage. Floods will occur when the drainage conditions of an area are not good, coupled with high rainfall. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the causes of inundation or flooding and to analyze the capacity of the planned channel on environmental drainage channels in RW 003 and RW 004, Tipar Village, Sukabumi City. The rainfall used is the annual maximum daily rainfall data obtained from Balai PSDA Ws. Cisadea-Cibareno, the data used in this hydrological analysis are 11 years of data, from 2010 to 2020. The frequency analysis used is the Moment method, which is a quantitative measure of the geometric properties of the shape of a distribution with Normal distribution, Log Normal distribution, Gumbel distribution and Log Pearson III distribution. The results of the analysis show that the most suitable distribution for Tipar Village, Sukabumi City is Log Pearson III based on the compatibility test with Chi-Square and Smirnov-Kolmogorov tests. Tipar Village Sukabumi City for the calculation of the planned discharge used the Rational Method equation with a 5-year return period. From the results of the analysis, the discharge capacity of the existing drainage channel is 0.166 m3/s and the planned discharge is obtained by Qplan = 0,204 m3 /s, the drainage channel is not able to accommodate the planned discharge because Qr>Qexisting so that a re-planning of the drainage channel is carried out by increasing the width (b) = 50 cm) and height (h=60 cm) of the drainage channel in order to obtain a storage capacity that is quite optimal, after analyzing the Qcapacity obtained by 0.204 m3 /s and Qplanning obtained by 0.204 m3 /s then the drainage channel is able to accommodate the planned discharge for the return period 5 Year.
