Abstract

This research is entitled Obsession of Theodore Finch in The All the Bright Places Novel by Jennifer Niven. This research aims for describing the character description and obsession of Theodore Finch in The All the Bright Places novel by Jennifer Niven. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method and the approach used is literary psychology. The data collection techniques used were reading and note taking techniques. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, display data, and conclusion drawing. The results of this research found that Theodore Finch character has a pleasant character, low self-esteem, freak, likes to cover up his sadness / pain, a person who is always looking for problems, easily gives up, and likes to hallucinate. The description of Theodore Finch's obsession occurs because of adaptive and maladaptive fears, social, psychological, and biological factors.
