Abstract

The research is entitled The Implementation of City without Slum (Kotaku) Program conducting study case in Citamiang District, Sukabumi City. The research was aimed at determining the implementation of Kotaku Program in Citamiang District as well as finding out supporting and hampering factors of the implementation by applying six dimension theory from Van Metter and Van Horn. The research was conducted at Department of Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, Human Settlement and Land. The research was descriptive qualitative with study case design. Subjects were consisted of 7 informants. The techniques of collecting data applied were interview, observation and documentation. The techniques of analyzing data applied were data reduction, display and presentation. The result of the research shows that the implementation of city without slum program in Citamiang District, Sukabumi city has not been running optimally. Natural resource in terms of land facility is still lack. Thus, miscommunication caused by less socialization about the program and the lack of comprehension of the Community Self-Help Organization (BKM) about the program’s proposal writing and budgeting is still likely to happen. Suggestion given for the Head of Housing and Human Settlement Division as well as for Citamiang District Office as the facilitator is to improve the socialization related to Kotaku program while running direct simulation for proposal and budgeting study group.
