Abstract

Used lubricant (oil) requires treatment to reduce dirt and its viscosity value such as new lubricant (oil). Adsorption of active charcoal was aimed for purifiying waste oil from any unnecessary mineral and other wasteful materials,in order to make the wasted engine oil lube to become reuseable and become base materials for making engine lubrication. The research of waste oil optial condition of adroption towards active charcoal on viscocity value, using active charcoal adroption method, making exact calculation of viscocity from waste lubericants oil. The optimum result of contact time towards viscocity takes 180 minutes for making viable result, optimum active charcoal usage towards viscocity is 2 grams to be exact, in viscocity of room temperature at 137, 7931 poise, temperature influence towards viscocity rate is the increase rate of temperature making the viscocity rate decreased to 137,7931 poise. And the occurance of decrease rate of viscocity value at 50 °C as 68, 1402 poise until 80 °C as for 51, 5947 poise.
