Abstract

The land surface in Sukabumi Regency does not always form a flat plane or has a difference in elevation from one place to another, thus forming a slope. Slope stability analysis is carried out to determine the safety factor of this potential landslide plane, maintain slope stability, and calculate the shear strength that causes sliding then the two are compared. From the comparisons, it is obtained the value of the Safety Factor is the value of slope stability expressed in numbers. To determine the slope safety factor at the research location, a slope stability analysis is needed which can be modeled according to the original conditions in the field so that the approach conditions occur in the analysis results and make it easier to model the handling, one of which is by using the Plaxis 8.2 program. The results of this study indicate that the slope stability using the Fellenius method has a safety factor value of 1,02 while the slope stability with the Plaxis 8.2 Program has a safety factor value of 1,18 and has an extreme value of 58,29m Utot. Thus the results of research from several methods of calculating the slope safety factor can be used as a recommendation in further research. Selection of Location in the author's research in Cilangla Village, Kec. Cireunghas was chosen because the case study had the background of landslides at several points in the area caused by the intensity of rainfall and too heavy a load. In this area, landslides have occurred 2 to 3 times from the results of interviews with local residents, according to residents around these landslides that occurred in 2002, 2006 and 2016.
