Abstract
As the main pillar in a democratic country, elections are one of the democratic procedures for selecting leaders who are believed to be the safest. In every election process, it is believed that there is voter behavior that colors and influences the final outcome of the election process. Broadly speaking, there are three models or schools of thought used in the study of choosing behavior, namely the sociological, psychological and rational models. This study intends to determine the behavior of presidential voters in Sukabumi City, using qualitative methods. Based on the results of the research conducted, it was found that voters in the city of Sukabumi belong to the smart, religious, partisan, primordial, pragmatic, sympathetic and mass flow categories. Therefore, the researchers suggest that there needs to be a more massive and intensive political education for voters in order to create conducive and democratic life through a dignified general election process.
