Abstract

The world of construction is currently developing very rapidly, various large-scale projects are being carried out every year to meet the needs of the community which have led to the development of the construction industry in Indonesia. In the implementation of a project, it is rare to find a project running smoothly and smoothly, generally the project experiences delays and affects the project time and budget. Therefore, in the project, a project control is needed. One of the methods used to optimize cost and time is the crashing method by making network planning and looking for jobs that are on the critical path, where the alternative is the work shift system. The purpose of this analysis is to determine the total time and cost of the project and to find an efficient implementation time after acceleration using the crashing method with the work shift system. The results of the analysis show that the cost comparison of local government building projects for structural work is Rp. 45,240,061,000.00 and after the crashing the total project cost became Rp. 46,649,549,533.51 or 3.1% greater than normal costs. The crash duration was found to be 14 days (2 weeks) or 6.9% faster than the originally planned schedule of 203 days (29 weeks) to 189 days (27 weeks).
