Abstract

The title of this research is "Perjalanan Hidup Tokoh I dalam Kumpulan Puisi Love And Misadventure: Misadventure Karya Lng". The purpose of this research is to find out the life journey experienced by the "I" character wich Lang Leav wrote in his poems entitled Love and Misadventure, through figurative language and imagery. The research method used, qualitative with descriptive design to explain the meanings and sentence in poem. The chosen approach to explain the intrinsic elements of style of language and imagery in literary works is the Expressive approach. The following results of research can be seen that: 1)Leav describing the life journey of I Through the metaphor, simile, hyperbole, methonimie and also from visual and auditory imagery, tactile imagery and organic imagery. 2)Leav describing the journey of character I's through dilemmas, fears, momentary happiness, sadness, sincerity experienced by the main characters.
