Abstract

This research is titled Sara’s Fantasy Representation In The Novel A Little Princess By Frances Hodgson Burnett. The main character named Sara showed a lot of fantasies in the novel. The objectives of this research are to describe kind of fantasies that Sara did and the impacts to herself in A Little Princess’s novel. The research method is qualitative descriptive. This research is using literary psychology approach to get the data about Sara’s fantasies in the novel. This research uses theory of Fantasy by Ahmadi and Walgito to explain kind of fantasies and the impacts of fantasies. The results of this research are that describe type of fantasies that Sara did such as realized actively fantasy, realized passively fantasy, unconscious fantasy, abstract fantasy, determine fantasy, and combining fantasy. The impacts of the fantasy that Sara did are ideals ambition, placing herself in different time and place, making happy life, and understanding or appreciating knowledge.
