Abstract

Selecting prospective members of the Student Organization is the best procedure for recruiting new members without ignoring the criteria required by the Student Organization. In general, the selection process that has been running so far, the election committee still uses the conventional method by analyzing the data of prospective members of the Student Organization one by one, while the number of candidates who have registered exceeds the number required by the committee. Based on the preliminary studies that have been conducted, out of the 300 students who registered, only 29 students were selected to become members of the Student Organization. The number of interested parties far exceeds the required number, causing the election committee to take a long time to complete the selection process. The Classification and Regression Tree algorithm can solve this problem if it is applied to a system by looking for the selection rules from the previous year's data. Of the 10 samples tested sourced from data showing the accuracy of the Classification and Regression Tree Algorithm reaching 100%, so this algorithm can be considered for use.
