Abstract Application of loan on cooperative developing rapidly with prospective borrowers already includes all walks of life. In lending, cooperatives use some requirements to determine whether a customer will be granted a loan or not. However, creditworthiness determination is often less appropriate, determination of creditworthiness is often subjected to a discrepancy with the requirements set by cooperatives. Improper lending decisions will cause the loan level to be high, so it is necessary to make a good decision-making system, which can help cooperatives to decide which customers are potentially fluent in the installment of the loan. The decision support system can help cooperatives in determining who deserves a loan based on some of the existing criteria so that this will reduce the risk of cooperatives received because it is wrong in making decisions. There are several methods that can be used to make a decision support system such as the Fuzzy Logic method, Simple Additive Weight (SAW) method, Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and many more. But in this case the most appropriate method is the method of Simple Additive Weight (SAW) because in this method gives each criterion the weight value which will be right in borrowing other than that this method is also very effective and precise Keywords: Decision support system, loan, Simple Additive Weight
