Abstract

Higher education is one of the important pillars in building a nation. As the highest level of education in the national education system, higher education becomes a reference in encouraging the development of a nation. Lecturers are academic staff who are tasked with planning and implementing the learning process, assessing learning outcomes, conducting mentoring and training, and conducting research and community service. Decision is the activity of choosing a strategy or action in solving a problem. Determination of outstanding lecturers must increase the effectiveness of decision making not to improve efficiency. in the process of assessing outstanding lecturers, the assessment is still done manually and implemented in paper form, so it requires quite a long time to manage data. Profile matching method is a method that is often used as a mechanism in decision making by assuming that there is an ideal level of predictor variables that must be met by the subjects being studied, rather than the minimum level that must be met or passed. Determination support systems for determining the decision applied to solve the problem using the profile matching method because it can determine the weight value of each criterion, calculate the core factor and secondary factor, then calculate the total value and determine ranking.
