Abstract

The quality of surface water that has decreased due to waste, both domestic and industrial waste, has an impact on the limited availability of clean water. Thus, the availability of clean water in every region is very important so that people's needs for clean water can be fulfilled. The community must at least have a reference or reference to find out the quality of water in meeting their daily needs, especially water needs for fisheries, so that people do not depend too much on experts. Experts in the process of determining water quality must carry out an accurate calculation process, because the results of this calculation are very important for the suitability of the water itself. Experts need a tool that can assist in the process of determining water quality so that it can produce accurate data. The final result of this research is a website-based expert system application design using the Forward Chaining method which can be used as a reference for people who do not have knowledge of water quality and produce a website-based expert application that can assist experts in performing calculations related to water quality, thus producing more accurate data.
