Abstract

FEMMY DWIYANA. 2020. The Improvement Strategies of The Role of Farmers Group (Case Study at Sugih Mukti Farmers Group in Cikadu, Nagraksari Village, Jampangkulon District, Sukabumi Regency). Guided by Ema Hilma Meilani and Reny Sukmawani. The research was aimed at determining the role of Sugih Mukti farmers group and its improvement strategy. The research method applied was survey. The numbers of respondents were taken by random sampling technique. The data were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The results of the research are acquired in forms of strategies that can be conducted to improve the role of farmers group, such as (1) Class of Study: - Scheduling routine meeting by arranging necessity-based curriculum. – Fixing the mindset of the farmers group’s member in improving their skills. – Implementing training related to the access of technology as needed by the farmers group by means of farming agriculture improvement. – Implementing socialization about the importance of farming biz in order to improve farmers group itself. – Implementation of members’ awareness program towards the importance of farming ecosystem. (2) Cooperation Media: - Inviting the middleman to become group members and get them involved in every meeting. – Improving capital by creating cooperation and partnership with other parties (government/private). (3) Production Unit: - Provision of infrastructures. – Providing awareness of utilization of fertilizer and pesticide to be based on dose.
