Abstract

The research is entitled “Strategy of Department of Tourism in Sustaining Local-Owned Source Revenue (PAD) in Sukabumi Regency (Case Study: Cinumpang Camping Ground)”. The research was aimed at finding out the factors that influence the outcome of Department of Tourism in sustaining localowned source revenue (PAD) in Sukabumi Regency, particularly from Cinumpang Camping Ground’s PAD by applying theory from Dess and Miller consisting in dimensions: (1) Targets, (2) Policy, (3) Plans. The research deployed qualitative method with 6 informants. The technique of collecting data applied were observation, interview and documentation. Source of triangulation was used for testing the validity of data. The process of analysis deployed a model stated by Bogdan. The results of the research show that the Strategy of Department of Tourism in Sustaining Local-Owned Source Revenue (PAD) in Sukabumi Regency (Study Case: Cinumpang Camping Ground) has been implemented well. In targets and policy dimension, the condition is adequately good. Meanwhile, factor that hampers is the lack of support from society about the importance of keeping and maintaining a tourism object.
