Abstract

The research is entitled “The Implementation of the Provision and Utilization of Green Open Space Policy in Sukabumi City”. Such policy implementation in Sukabumi city is based on Regional Regulations Number 2 Year 2015 about provision and utilization of green open space. In the implementation, several problems were identified, such as dimension and purpose of the policy, less maximum communication, unassertive disposition of the implementers. The researcher applied public policy implementation theory from Van Meter and Van Hord. The research was aimed at finding out the implementation of the policy and factors that hamper and support the implementation itself having informants amounted to 5 persons. The research deployed descriptive qualitative method. The data were acquired from observation, interview and documentation. The procedure of data validation was conducted by means of model stated by Miles and Huberman. The results of the research show that the implementation of regional regulations Number 2 Year 2015 has not been running thoroughly maximally due to unachieved purpose and dimension, the lack of socialization toward society about green open space and the number of manpower. Suggestions given by the researcher are that Department of Environmental Service is expected to add the area of green open space by utilizing abandoned empty spaces, conduct socialization regularly towards society regarding the provision and utilization of green open space, and increase the number of manpower.
