Abstract

The sub-section of public relations in Sukabumi City’s regional secretariat is public relations unit that carries out a persuasive and effective managemenebt of information and communication functions in order to build a positive image for the local government institutions of Sukabumi City. The research was aimed at finding out how the management of Cyber PR is on the use of media social as a mean of building positive image by the Sub-of collecting data Section of Public Relations of Sukabumi City’s Regional Secretariat. The research method applied was qualitative data deployed were observation and interview as well as documentations. The result of the research shows that in building positive image of Sukabumi City’s Local Government through social media, the sub-section of Public Relations of Sukabumi City’s regional secretariat conduct a management process for Cyber PR activity such as information gathering, planning, communication, and evaluation. The obstacles encountered by the Public Relations is less manpower, inadequate facilities and negative comment on social media.
