Abstract

PT. Perkebunan Nusantara VIII Sukamaju Plantation Cibadak Sukabumi Regency is one of the state-owned enterprises (BUMN engaged in the sector of rubber and palm oil processing under the auspices of PT. Perkebunana Nusantara VIII (PTPN) which is headquartered on Jl. Sindang Sirna No. 4 Bandung. The research was conducted to find out how effective and efficient the application of Balanced Scorecard method would be towards company performance at PTPN. The method applied in the research was Balanced Scorecard. Type of the research was descriptive quantitative. The techniques of collecting data applied by the researcher were observation, interview, documentation, and literature review. The techniques of analyzing data were commenced from preparing, tabulating to calculating phase. Based on the data acquired from analysis result, it shows that the application of balanced scorecard method at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara VIII Sukamaju Plantation is more comprehensive and measured. Thus, measurement of company performance is required by means of balanced scorecard method. Such measurement is aimed for easing control and evaluation of the company performance so that the company is able to survive in business competition as well as to plan long-term company strategies.
