Abstract
The development of the road structure can be done by using various methods or methods that can improve the quality and strength of the road. One way is in terms of mixing the materials to be mixed and planned for the pavement to be made. Quartz sand can be one of the pavement materials to be used as fine aggregate which has a high enough silica content. Also, the mixture for pavement can utilize fly ash waste which can reduce environmental pollution. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the use of fly as a filler and quartz sand as a substitute for fine aggregate for AC-BC Laston pavement and to know the comparison between Laston AC-BC Normal with that using quartz sand and fly ash which can be used as an alternative material for pavement Laston AC- BC Samples for quartz sand AC-BC laston pavement material from PT. Sukabumi Silika Resource, Sekarwangi Village, Cibadak District, Sukabumi, West Java and Fly Ash from Pelabuan Ratu Power Plant. Tests carried out using the Marshall test method. The results of this study indicate that by using quartz sand as a substitute for fine aggregate and fly ash filler, the stability value that has the best increase is at 7.5% with a value of 3341 kg and the normal best increase is at a 7.5% level of 3246, 6 kg and for flow, values using quartz sand instead of fine aggregate and fly ash and normal fillers have the same results with the best increase found at 7.5% by 3.1 mm. So for Laston AC-BC Quartz Sand + Fly Ash was seen from the results of its stability and flow is better and superior compared to Laston AC-BC Normal
