Abstract
District of Sukabumi has a medium to a high level of landslides. Especially Subdistrict of Cireunghas landslides often occur on school area which is Lio Elementary School where the school building is located under a slope prone to landslides. The condition of this area has the potential for landslides to be quite high. This has been proven by landslides that have occurred in the area 5 times the incidence of landslides. when a landslide disaster occurs, the gravity walls has been building, but there is no planning of building and unknown slope safety factor values. This becomes detention in teaching and learning activities when the rainy season arrives. The purpose of the study is to analyze the value of slope stability using the fellenius method, the safety factor of the retaining wall and the economic factors of each type of retaining wall. Data is taken directly by the cone penetration test. The results how that, the stability of the slope using the fellenius method with the ef ect of the groundwater level obtained a safety factor value of 0.70 and without the ef ect of the groundwater level the safety factor value was 0.93. Comparison of safety factors between gravity walls and cantilever walls. Safety factors of gravity walls include the shear factor value of 4.71, the overturning factor value 1.63, eccentricity factor 1.74 and the collapse of bearing capacity 3.99. The safety factor of cantilever walls includes shear factor value 3.12, overturning factor 1.81, eccentricity factor 1.75 and the collapse of bearing capacity 5.53. the comparison of the budget plan for retaining wall gravity type and cantilever type each Rp. 52,379,000-, and Rp. 87,000,000- ,. Based on these results, the design of gravity type retaining walls can be designed with high safety value and economical in development.
