Abstract
The use of cement on infrastructure development as the day increases can cause adverse impacts on the environment. This is a driving force to found alternative cement substitute, namely concrete geopolymer. Alkaline activator commonly used in geopolymer mixture is Sodium hydroxide or commonly called soda flame and sodium silicate because this chemical is easy to find. The basic ingredients used for the manufacture of Geopolymer should contain silica (Si) and Alumina (Al) which is contained in the red brick waste so it can be used in concrete mixture of geopolymer. The method of research used is the method of experimentation or trial mix by conducting experiments directly in the laboratory. Tests of mechanical properties are carried out limited among the strong test of press, strong bending, and strong tensile-concrete geopolymer. Results of research by comparison of the alkaline ratio of activators in the comparison of red brick geopolymer concrete that affect the strong concrete press, shown from the result of strong test press maximum at the age of 56 very small days 3.60 MPA, with this value Not meet the minimum standard of concrete structural quality.
