Abstract

Islamic boarding school is a traditional Indonesian Islamic education institution that is able to exist today. Islamic boarding schools have proven to be unique, independent, and conditional educational institutions with local culture since 500 years ago. The western education model adopted by the government as formal education in Indonesia has given challenges and colors to the development of Islamic boarding schools. Islamic boarding schools also respond to these challenges in different ways, on the other hand pesantren are required to be able to maintain their idealism while meeting the pragmatic demands of the community. The purpose of this study was to build an information system for mapping boarding schools spread across the city and Sukabuni Regency by using the Dijktra algorithm method in calculating the closest distance to Islamic boarding schools. The results of this study can be an information medium for the public about Information on Islamic Boarding Schools, Location of Islamic Boarding Schools, and the closest distance to Islamic Boarding Schools.
