Abstract

Computer based test are methods of evaluating learning outcomes or assessing the level of a person's ability to use a computer. Learning methods that are very helpful for the learning process and improve learning outcomes, because it makes a very accurate assessment and minimizes human problems, in contrast to manual exams using paper answer sheets. Fraud factors among fellow students still often occur in the written examination process and the teacher about giving final grades is still difficult in the assessment of student answer sheets one by one. Research was conducted to create a web-based online self-test application at SMPN 5 Sukabumi using SDLC method with Waterfall model. The purpose of this study is the application of web-based online self-test as a support for teaching and learning activities. The application development phase includes the design of user interface design such as online pages, administrators, students, arranging tests, subjects, classes, questions, recapitulation, material collection, and news. Making modeling system design example; use case diagrams, sequence diagrams, class diagrams and relations between tables. Testing the system using the Black Box Test to check the errors on the system consists of input and error menu user interface and alpha test to check when processing the exam process carried out by students. This system can provide results of value recapitulation based on the sum between multiple choice and essays. The results of the trials showed that this system was feasible to be used to support the learning evaluation process at SMPN 5 Sukabumi.
