Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the application of the Project Based Learinng (PJBL) model to improve students' creative thinking skills in fourth grade in elementary schools. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a research design using Kemmis and Mc Taggart models in 2 cycles. Participants in this study were class IV students as many as 24 students. Data collection in this study through observation and field notes. The results of the precycle study obtained a percentage of classical creative thinking skills 17%, increasing in the first cycle to obtain the percentage of classical creative thinking skills 70% and in the second cycle obtained a percentage of classical creative thinking skills 87%. This study concluded that the application of Project Based Learning models (PjBL ) can improve the creativity of thinking fourth grade students in elementary school 2017/2018 school year.
