Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of the kancing gemerincing technique and describe the increase in communicative attitudes of students by using kancing gemerincing technique social studies learning in high class. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The subjects in this study were 32 students of class V in Selabintana Wetan elementary school, consisting of 20 male and 12 female. The research was conducted in even semester. Data collection techniques in this study were using interviews, observations, questionnaires and field notes. The instruments used were interview guidelines, teacher activity observation sheets, student activity observation sheets, student communicative attitude observation sheets, student communicative attitude questionnaire sheets and field notes. The analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of kancing gemerincing technique teacher observation data in the first cycle which scores 71.25 and in the second cycle scores 83.96. In the observation of students in the first cycle obtained a value of 69.18 and in the second cycle obtained a value of 83.16. The increase in communicative attitudes of students by using the kancing gemerincing technique based on the results of observations in the first cycle obtained 68.70% and the second cycle obtained 84.13%. The results of the questionnaire in the pre-cycle obtained 40.36%, the first cycle obtained 70.08% and the second cycle gained 86.78%. Based on the results of these studies it can be concluded that the kancing gemerincing technique can improve the communicative attitude of the fifth grade students of Selabintana Wetan elementary school in the academic year 2018/2019.
