Abstract

The problem in this study is that the learning resources of students are only fixated on books, most students play when learning takes place and the lack of learning media. This study aims to determine the improvement of understanding of concepts through the use of ludo word game media. This research is a classroom action research, with two cycles consisting of four meetings in one cycle, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation and reflection. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students with a total of 26 students. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests, field notes and documentation. The results of this study with the use of ludo word game learning media occur a pleasant learning atmosphere so that student learning outcomes increase, namely from the results of the pretest, cycle I to cycle II there is an increase, at the pretest the number of students completed is 4 people or 15% of 26 Students, the value that is not completed 22 people or 85%, in the first cycle experienced an increase in the number of students who completed 16 people or 62%, the value that was not completed 10 people or 38%, while in the second cycle there was an increase in complete value namely to 23 people or 88%. It was concluded that understanding the concepts of students increased.
