Abstract

This study aims to find out how students' creative thinking skills after learning using Scientific-based Field Trip methods on the biology lessons of ecosystems. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a population of 2 classes taken from class X MA Sunanulhuda Cisaat. The cellphone of this study was selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research design used in this study was Nonequivalent control group design. The instrument used in this study is a test question as many as 5 description questions. Based on the data prerequisite test, it is known that the research data is normally distributed and the two classes have similarities in variance (homogeneous). From the data analysis it is known that the average posttest of the experimental class students with learning using Scientific-based Field Trip method is 77.88 and the average posttest value of the control class students with non-learning using the Field Trip method is 66.76. There are significant differences in student learning outcomes, this is evidenced by the T-test obtained because Tcount = 4.444> TTable = 2.004 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that the scientific method of field trip learning significantly influences students' creative thinking abilities. Student responses to learning using scientific-based field trips to the ability of creative thinking to respond positively to the results of the overall response criteria answered Very agree and the results of the student observation sheet also showed that students were good at carrying out learning activities. So the conclusion, the use of scientific-based field trip learning methods has a significant effect on students' creative thinking abilities.
