Abstract

Kopinkra karya pusaka sukabumi is a private company in sukabumi regency and engaged in the production of motorbike components spare part. The problem identified in the company was the quality control of motorbike’s spare part produced by the company itself were often found to have defect caused by several factors. The reseach was aimed at finding out the quality control of motorbike’s spare part product by means of six sigma method at kopinkra karya pusaka sukabumi. The methods applied in the reseach were quantitative-descriptive. The techniques of collecting data applied in the were observation, interview, descriptive and literature review. The technique of analyzing data was conducted when the data were collecting, thus, the techiques of colleting data were applied by means of DMAIC method, namely Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve,Control. Based on the result of the reseach by observing and interviewing 2 respondents as well astesting conducted by comparing the data acquired by the researcher after direct observation on defects of the products at kopinkra karya pusaka sukabumi. The researcher makes sure that the data are correct and reliable as the information retrieved by the researcher from both respondent are in live with the observation conducted by the researcher himself. The researcher has applied the six sigma method but it has not been optimum so thet is still defect of products in the process of quality control of product.
