Abstract

This study uses literature study to provide an overview of the development Professionalism LPTK (Lembaga Pendidikan Tingkat Keguruan), in producing the educators. In the new era of 21st century higher education system in Indonesia should be materialized as universities must have the institutional credibility intact. However, there are currently some of the problems encountered such as Quality of Graduates LPTK, leveling and revitalization of curriculum, low interest high school students / equal to proceed to LPTK, absence of a special selection LPTK Prospective Students Admissions. Therefore it takes some concrete actions to resolve the issue. Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) is an effort to improve the competence of graduates LPTK. however, a new problem arises such existence, implementation PPG, competition between graduate education and non-education, discourse allowances PPG certification. So the teaching profession into a profession which is open to anyone who has a teaching certificate through anything. One solution that the Government announced that the Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG), which raises the pros and cons. Based on the condition and literature study that was done, the researchers formed a frame of mind as a form of professional development solutions in the printing educators LPTK namely (1) the development of competencies of graduates; (2) leveling the curriculum; (3) draft socialization interests of high school students / equivalent; (4) special selection of candidates admissions LPTK. The researchers conducted the concept of Sekolah Tinggi Keguruan Negeri (STKN) under the Ministry of Research and Technology of Higher Education as a new institution which specializes in producing educators with personality, superior quality and competence. With the bond system, the facility provided by some of the PTK in which graduates are guaranteed a job upon graduation, and was appointed as a permanent employee where most of the Civil Servant. This STKN SEMI-based military has a meaning as an education system that applies the principles of the military.
