Abstract

University of Muhammadiyah sukabumi, Influence of Emotional Intelligence Against Level of Accounting Understanding on Student Accounting Study Program Faculty of Economics University of Muhammadiyah Sukabumi, (Advisor I Dr. H. Darmo H. Suwiryo, S.E., M.M. and supervisor II Elan Eiswanto, S.E., M.M.). Emotional intelligence is one of the most important sources of students running daily life within the scope of the lecture and it determines how a student thinks and behaves. Accounting comprehension is the best achievement desired by every student of Accounting Study Program Faculty of Economics of Muhammadiyah University of Sukabumi. This study aims to determine the effect of emotional intelligence on the level of understanding of accounting students Accounting Study Program Faculty of Economics, University of Muhammadiyah Sukabumi. The variables used in this study are emotional intelligence (X) and level of understanding of accounting (Y). The method used in this research is associative method with quantitative approach. The population in this study dalah students of Accounting Studies Program Faculty of Economics, University of Muhammadiyah Sukabumi. By using primary data collection technique used is 80 respondents student of Accounting Study Program Faculty of Economics of Muhammadiyah University of Sukabumi. From the test results can be seen independent variables simultaneously able to explain the dependent variable by 50%, while the remaining 50% influenced by other factors not examined. From the results of partial hypothesis testing showed that the influence of emotional intelligence has a positive and significant impact on the level of understanding of accounting.
