Abstract

This study aims to determine how the influence of guided inquiry on the ability of multiple intelligence and science process skills in class XI students on the concept of food digestion. The research method used is quasi-experimental method with two class research samples taken from class XI MIPA SMAN. The research sample was taken withpurposive sampling technique. The research design used in this study is none-quivalent control group design. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire of multiple intelligence abilities and a test of the ability of science process skills totaling 15 multiple choice questions, each of which was declared valid and reliable. Because the pretest scores of the two classes are significantly different, so the next statistical test uses the N-Gain value. Based on the prerequisite test, it is known that the results of research data are normally distributed and both classes have the same variance (homogeneous). Data analysis of the ability of multiple intelligences through questionnaires obtained an average value of N-Gain experimental class 0.15 and for the control class of 0.04. While the results of data analysis of the ability of science process skills through ability tests obtained an average value of N-Gain experimental class of 0.4 and the control class of 0.14. Based on the test results listed in the SPSS output in the test of betweensubjects effect table, it is known that the significant value of multiple intelligence abilities is 0.002 and for science process skills abilities is 0.004 (meaning both of these significant values <0.05) means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded, it means that there is an influence of the application of guided inquiry to the ability of multiple intelligences and science process skills of students. it is known that the significant value of multiple intelligence abilities is 0.002 and for the ability of science process skills is 0.004 (meaning both of these significant values <0.05) means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded, it means that there is an influence of the application of guided inquiry to the ability of multiple intelligences and science process skills of students.
