Abstract
This study aims to determine the implementation of the use of flip chart media in learning activities in recognizing letters for children aged 5-6 years. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method (quasiexperimental). The research design used in this study was the nonequivalent group pretest-posttest design. This design allows for no comparison between the experimental class and the control class. The population in this study were 44 students of TK Darma Bhakti in the age range of 4-6 years. 22 people as the experimental group, and 22 others as the control group. The results obtained showed that there were differences in children's understanding before learning numbers through the flip cart media and after being introduced to numbers through the flip cart media, the differences that occurred tended to lead to improvement. The mean value of the paired t test shows a difference where the mean (mean) ability to recognize letters of the experimental class children before being given an understanding is 25.00 and the average (mean) value of the ability to recognize letters in the experimental class after being given an understanding increased to 32.86 with a difference in the average value (mean) of -7.864 which means that there is an increase in the child's ability to recognize letters of -7.864.
